Alfred Eugene Owen Sr.

Alfred Eugene Owen Sr, 79, of Fletcher, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at his residence. A native of Jackson County, he was a son of the late Clarence and Ethel W. Owen. He was also preceded in death by three children, Eugene, Terry and Sherry, as well as one brother and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Craig Owen; two daughters, Sheila Owen and Tammy Muether; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren and five sisters. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Groce Funeral Home to help with funeral arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
