Alfred Frank Rohls, 76, of Asheville, died on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Staten Island, NY, Mr. Rohls was the son of the late Eugene and Helen Sienicki Rohls.
Mr. Rohls received his B.A. from Wagner College and J.D. from Fordham University. He retired from Citibank as V.P. of the Legal Department. During his career, he also worked as Senior Counsel, Litigation Management, and V.P. of Chief Intellectual Property Counsel. He also worked with the U.S. Trademark Association, and had been a member of the New York Bar Association since 1965 and of the Federal Southern District since 1976.
Mr. Rohls was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy.
He is survived by his wife Karen Lois Zuckerberg Rohls; son, Alexander Rohls and wife Jessica; step-daughter, Natalie DeVito and husband Michael; step-son, Damien Cutugno and wife Lisa; sister, Jeanne O'Brien and husband Neal; grandchildren, Aliya Dawn and Connor Cutugno, and Miya DeVito; niece, Gloria Constantas and husband Pete; nephew, Victor Dolan and wife Nancy; ex-wife, Penny Brackett and husband Gene; cousins, Bruce, Marion and Robert Carstenson; and best friends, Bill W., George Piazza, Robert Grande, and Patrick Chanod.
A visitation for Mr. Rohls will be held in Staten Island at Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd. at a later date.
