Alma "Ginger" Bowen

Alma "Ginger" Bowen passed away July 24, 2015 at the age of 75. She was a member of West Asheville Baptist, graduate of Reynolds High, and hospice volunteer. She often said "One can listen with their heart". Her last prayers were to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and beloved parents. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" 2 Cor 5:8. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest "Red" Johnson and Alma Cline Johnson; aunts Melba Ogburn and Barbara Meyer; and cousin Jim Ogburn. Ginger is survived by her son, Charlie Bowen; daughter Ruth Palmer and spouse Robert; Sherri Tippit loved as a daughter; grandchildren and their spouses, Candace Graham, Shelly Howerton, Erica Reynolds, Leeanna Reynolds and Kimberlee Palmer; great-grandchildren, Tanner Howerton, Melody Reynolds, and Kinsley Graham; cousin Sam Ogburn, wife Carol, and son Max. A celebration of life will be on August 22 in Knoxville, TN. Condolences may be sent to 4318 Kate Brook Lane, Knoxville, TN 37921.
