Alvin Joseph "Buck" Case

Alvin Joseph "Buck" Case, 70, of Arden, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of Mary Edith Hyatt Stempson of Dawson, MN and of the late Alvin S. Case. Alvin proudly served in the US Army Corps of Engineers and was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired as a senior operator at Dupont in Transylvania County after 33 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife, Edith Grace Wells Case; five children, Mary Kathleen Love and her husband, Ed of Seminole, FL, Carolyn Michelle Case and her wife, Renee of Hendersonville, Alvin Joseph Case Jr. and his wife, Yvette of Easley, SC, Johnny Curtis Case of Forks Of Ivy and Michael Scott Case and his wife, Amy of Arden; four siblings, Jerry Wallace Case of Waynesville, Hattie Madge McKinney of Asheville, Robert Caroll Case of Lillington, NC and Patricia June Padgett of Woodfin; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Roberts Memorial Park in Arden.
