Alvin Ledford passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, June 28th in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. Military Rites will be provided by the Buncombe County Veterans Council Honor Guard and the North Carolina National Guard

I was sad to hear of Uncle Alvin’s passing. I Hadn’t seen him in several years. He was unique. He was a blend of John Wayne & Robert Mitchum, the makings of heroes. He was certainly one of mine. God bless all his family and friends.
