Andrew Franklin Jones

Andrew Jones, 77, of 349 N. Turkey Creek Road, Leicester, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at the Keever Hospice Solace Center. Mr. Jones was a son of the late Jesse S. and Gussie V. Wells Jones. He was a farmer and a well known dealer at the WNC Farmer’s Market. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, the Tomato Growers Association, and Beulah Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lucy King Jones; one son, Larry Jones and his wife Rose; and three sisters, Gladys Riddle and her husband, Troy, of Swannanoa, Linda Hoglen and her husband, Rex, of Leicester, and Wanda Ward and her husband, Howard, of Leicester. Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Ricky Wolfe and Don Austin officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Revs. Bobby Smith and David Plemmons. His family will receive friends Friday evening at the funeral home immediately following the service.
