Born in: Asheville, NC
Resided in: Asheville, NC

Angeline Wyatt, went to be with Jesus on April 11, 2023. She was born December 20, 1931 in Buncombe County to the late Eppie Lee Shope Stroupe and Clyde Thomas Stroupe. She married George “Earl” Wyatt, who passed in 1996. Together they shared 48 years of marriage and raised one son, Gary Earl Wyatt.

Following Earl’s death, Angeline continued to live in their family home which she cherished almost as much as her azaleas. She was an avid gardener and spent many hours working in her yard- weeding, mowing, and tending to flowers, she definitely had a green thumb. She was an expert of azaleas- her azaleas are currently displayed in full bloom today. Angeline loved making pretty things for family and friends, and over the years tried her hand at sewing, ceramics, and scrap booking- her photo albums are too numerous to count. Additionally, Angeline loved vacationing with her cousins and spending time with her family.

Angeline was a strong independent woman. She had her own mind and formed her own opinions, and it was unlikely that anyone was going to change her mind. She fervently believed in taking care of family and friends. Over the years, she helped many individuals in need. Angeline had such a wonderful and inviting spirit, and that smile; would just light up a room.

Angeline was preceded by her parents Eppie and Clyde Stroupe, her husband Earl Wyatt, and her youngest brother Donald Thomas Stroupe. Angeline is survived by her only son Gary and his wife Debi of Oteen, NC, two grandsons- Curtis Wyatt of Asheville, NC and Chris Wyatt married to Amy, of Upper St. Clair, PA, and great-grandchildren Brayden, Abigail, and Parker Wyatt (of Asheville) and Gwen, Logan, and Beau Wyatt (of Upper St. Clair, PA). Also surviving are her are two brothers Melvin Stroupe and Leonard Stroupe (Sandra Stroupe) of Asheville, NC, and sister Dorothy Hill (Ted Hill) of Yadkinville, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews that all loved her very much.

A service will be held at Groce Funeral Home (East Asheville/Tunnel Rd.) on April 16, 2023, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will follow the service.
