Anthony Edward "Tony" Barrett, 57, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016.
He was a native of Jamaica, son of the late Harold and Muriel Barrett, and a soccer coach.
Tony is survived by his companion, Sandi Roper; children, Dorothy, Wazim, Kelvin, Andre, Cecelia, Sebastian, and Dante Barrett, and sister, Laurette Rolenz.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

It has been a year since my dad died.
He was the kindest man I knew. He took his time. He was a renaissance man.
I will be celebrating his life for the rest of mine. The pain and lessons of his sudden loss have undoubtedly made me 10x the man I was able to be while he was around to witness.
