Audrey Holloway

audrey holloway

August 28, 1986 ~ April 28, 2025

Born in: Mountain View, CA
Resided in: Asheville, NC

On April 28, 2025, Audrey Holloway (Mott) left this world of hardship and worry behind. She would have been 39 in August.

Audrey was born on Thursday, August 28th, 1986 in Mountain View, CA. She was a child filled with joy and light, yet saw her share of darkness growing up that no child should ever have to see.

She spent most of her formative years in Starkville, MS and the Golden Triangle area, from the 3rd grade and on through college, before leaving for greener pastures with her husband.

Audrey loved music and taught herself to play guitar (very well). She was extremely artistic and creative. Whether it be writing, drawing, culinary arts, or creating epic cocktails she was exceptionally talented and a true perfectionist. She was a degreed horticulturist, and also spent many years in various roles in the restaurant industry. She loved to travel with her husband, Brandon on various adventures. She had an amazing wit and intellect, and loved her friends, family and husband, and was treasured by all. She also absolutely adored her kitties Sam (Samhain) and Lily (Lilith).

Audrey’s love and laughter were infectious. She was a bright light in this world and had a knack for finding the most amazing friends to draw into her life. Audrey was the best, most loyal and diehard friend anyone could dream of having. (Speaking of Die Hard, that was her favorite Christmas movie)

Audrey was also very passionate in her fight against injustices and human rights violations in this world. She stood up for the oppressed and was not willing to be silenced in her fight.

She is survived by her husband, Brandon Holloway of Asheville NC; her brother, Ryan Mott; her father, William M. Mott, and stepmother, Angela Mott; grandmother, Betty Mott; uncle, John Mott; aunt, Kimberly Mott; and cousins, Jacob, Joshua, and Jesslyn Mott, all of Decatur MS, along with her kitties Sam and Lily. She was preceded in passing by grandparents, Ronald Mott of Decatur, and Benjamin and Gay Morgan of Laurel, MS and her step-brother, Matthew Mott.

Rest in Peace, Dear Angel
