Audrey Juanita Vardiman, 91, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Swain County, Audrey was a daughter of the late Wesley Burton and Hattie Edith Fryar Lee and was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Vardiman who died in 1986 as well as one brother, Charles Lee. She worked for the Gerber Corporation for a number of years as a line inspector.
Audrey is survived by two daughters, Donna Vardiman Gibson and Sandra Smith, both of Asheville and one son, Gene Gordon of Maryville, TN. She is also survived by one sister, Geri Allen of Asheville; one brother, James Lee of Raleigh; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Arden First Baptist Church. A private burial will be held at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
