Barbara Ann Scearcy Early
Asheville, NC – Barbara Ann Scearcy Early, 71, of Asheville, graduated to her Heavenly Home Friday, September 28, 2007.
Barbara Ann was born in Transylvania County to the late William P. and Martha Crane Scearcy. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Joseph G. Early; two daughters, Vickie D. Early and Hope E. Moore; two grandchildren, Joseph P. Moore and Tonya L. Redmon; two brothers and four sisters.
She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church and was involved with the Neurofibromatosis Foundation and The Council on Aging.
She is survived by her youngest daughter, Donna Early Redmon and her husband, Wil, of East Asheville; two sisters, Ann Cooper of Waynesville and Betty Simms of Toledo, Ohio; a son in law, Roger P. Moore of West Asheville; six grandchildren who called her “Nanny,” Rachel Harwood, Cyndi Buckner, SSgt USAF Carla Redmon, Nathan Bolick, Terry Redmon and April Moore and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2007 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Eugene Dodd officiating.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian and at other times the family will be at the home of Wil and Donna Redmon.

Donna, God makes no mistakes, keep in mind. There will be a great reunion one day so Aunt Barbara is gone in body but not in mind and spirit.
