Barbara Ann Roberts

Barbara Ann Roberts, 83, of Abbey Circle, Asheville, died Thursday, June 22, 2006, at the home of her son in Stamping Ground, KY. Mrs. Roberts was born in Haywood County and was a daughter of the late William M. and Grace Bryson Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, S. Frank Roberts, who died in 1993, and by two brothers, Hal K. and Bob D. Jones. Mrs. Roberts was retired from the Federal Air Weather Service, where she worked as a meteorologist assistant. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She is survived by one son, David F. Roberts, Sr. and his wife, Renee, of Stamping Ground; three grandchildren, David F. Roberts, Jr. of Edmund, OK, Jennifer Jean Wallace, and Tara Ann Roberts, both of Georgetown, KY; four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Karly, Anna, and Grace; one sister, Vivian Belle of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and one brother, Bruce C. Jones and his wife, Martha, of Gainesville, GA, and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Lewis Memorial Park with the Rev. Fred Stiemke officiating.
