Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My heart certainly goes out to your entire family in your time of sorrow. I did not personally know Mrs. Chisolm, but I did recognize her lovely face, having seen her around town for several years. What a beautiful and accomplished woman she was, and it is purely our loss to give up such a remarkabe woman. I hope God will have mercy on all of you, and ease your pain, helping you to gradually begin to heal and recover. Grief is not an event, it’s a process, so let your thoughts surface often, laugh about old memories, help each other with any unessary ‘I wish I had’s’ and eventually the sharp pains will begin to ease up after time. Healing comes from helping others in the same boat…believe me.
God bless your whole family, and may your mother’s soul rest in peace.

  2. As president of the Asheville Choral Society, allow me to express our most sincere appreciation of the incredibly able and giving person Barbara Chislom always was. She will be sorely missed in this community. You have our deepest sympathies. God bless all who feel her loss.

  3. Barbara’s love of art and music colored her personality, her up-beat outlook on life and was apparent to all who new her. My condolences extend not only to Beirne and the entire family but to all whose lives she touched. Barbara will be missed.

  4. Barbara was a warm and caring lady who handled her life with strength and peserverance. Our heartfelt condolences to Beirne, Serena, and Alison. Phyllis & Barry Berkowitz

  5. Serena, Alison, and all those who loved Barbara: I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was an incredibly strong and brave person, and I am certain that her soul is in Heaven. ‘Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones smile down to let us know that they are happy.’ With my sympathy, Amanda
