Barbara Sue Warren Briggs

Barbara Sue Warren Briggs, 89, of Biltmore, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Elizabeth House, Hendersonville.
Barbara was born on June 25, 1934, and grew up in Candler, NC, before marrying her late husband, Harold Lloyd Briggs, Sr. They were married for 62 years before he passed away in 2019. She was the daughter of the late Roy Melvin and Nellie James Warren. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Clifton, James, Joseph, Dane, Delon, Lonnie, Denlow, Vaughn and Rollins Warren; sisters, Londa Young, Henrietta Hoglen, and Gail Warren; and daughter-in-law, Darlene Briggs.
She is survived by her sons, Harold (Becky), of Mills River, Phillip (Michelle), of Waynesville, and Steve Briggs, of Arden; eight grandchildren, Tyson (Haley), Trinity (James), Lindsey, Maggie, Zachary, and Jack Briggs, Tabitha Pisani (Matt), and Sarah Amoth (Chase); and 10 great-grandchildren, Caden, Emmeline, Mary, Logan, Alexis, Jamison, Coen, Willa, Ariyah and Cayson.
Barbara worked for Eaton Cutler-Hammer until she retired. Following retirement, she was able to spend her time caring for her family. Her favorite and most beloved memory of her family was her famous Sunday dinners that brought the entire family together. She enjoyed spending time with her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pastor John Alexander will officiate.
