Time to Realize
Bea Reynolds, my funny mommy
Spoken by Rocky Reynolds
August 7, 2010
I now lay me on my bed
And I’m thinking of things
that she has said
The Lord has taken her
away from me
I’m loving it
and thinking on both knees
Her comfort now
will not bend my brow
The time will tell
and I do not know how
Only through the worship
and the love we had
Its only through
the love and worship
God has provided
The knowledge through
both of us had
The knowledge through
what the bible has said
It is a mutual thing,
my mom and dad
they shared with me
before they left
I have learned this
and hoped this
And it will grow
Until the day I die
and I will know
I have to know
what is wrong and right
And the wisdom
you shared
with me tonight
You gave it to me
I do not hear
But you came through
my mother dear
I love you more
As the night goes on
cause I now realize
That you are gone
I’m laying here
on my bed
I think about
the things you said
Where you are
is where I want to be
I hope my friends
will understand and see
I love you Mom
My mommy dear
I love you Mom
My funny Mommy
My dearest one
And though I will never
Lay my head
on your sweet chest
I know that you now have
perfect rest
My blue-eyed Momma
You hold my love
You’ve gone across
that Jordan above
gone across to Jesus’ hand
gone across to Daddy too
Tell Dad hello
Now that you’re gone
I’ll see you both
When I am done
I know this testimony is true
the light of God
brought a smile to you
I now lay me on my bed
And I’m thinking of things
that you said
The Lord has taken you
away from me
I’m loving it
and thinking
on both knees.
Thinking of you in your time of sorrow.
Gail, my thoughts are with you and your family.

We know the long road you have traveled with your Mom, during her illness. Your Daddy and Mom are now in Heaven, looking down on you with a smile of contentment. They are proud of you. When confronted with difficult decisions, you handled them, to the best of your ability. Your parents are happy in Heaven, free of pain, and forever young. God loves you, and so do WE.
