Mrs. Brown was born in Buncombe County and resided in Panama City, FL, from 1956 until her return to Candler in 1996. She was a daughter of the late N.C. and Effie Creasman Henson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John R. Brown, by two sisters, Jessie Smith and Della Evans, and by three brothers, Hill, Dudley and Tom Henson.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm Tuesday at Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Smith officiating.
Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
