I did not spend much time with Ben Treece, however what I spent was quality. I first met him at my daughter A.J.’s wedding weekend when she married his grandson Kyle. I found him to be very warm and friendly. I doubt that he ever met a stranger. What I have learned about Ben is the love and adoration he inspired in his grandchildren, not to shortchange the love that his daughter Carolyn had for him, but my relationship with Kyle has much more effect on my thoughts. My daughter A.J. loved Papa Ben with all of her usual enthusiasm and she and Kyle both knew that he loved them right back. The world was better with you Ben, now go and make that next world in Heaven a special place for all of us.
My love and thoughts go out to Delores and her family. I have always felt lucky to know Ben and Delores. He will be missed greatly here in Florida. He’s with the angels now…
