  4. Darrin,
I worked with your mother for years at West Forsyth and thought very highly of her. She was dedicated to her job and always put students first. Since she left us, I have spoken of her often and always in the kindness of words. My heart goes out to you in the lose of such a wonderful person and loving mother.

  5. Patrick,Sharon,Noah,Donna&Kacy,
Betty’s passing was quite a shock for me. I sure will miss her.
Betty and Bryan were like grandparents to my girls when we lived in W-S. They were so much more than mere neighbors;we loved them both so much.
I feel certain that Betty, Bryan, Kelly and John are together now and that thought makes me glad.
    Blessings to you all.
    Sue

  13. Patrick, Sharon and Noah —
    Donna and Kacy —

We exend our deepest sympathy on the loss of Aunt Betty and most recently, Uncle Bryan. They are together now and we will truly miss them every day but will remember their wonderful spririts and how they loved life and family. We love you – Uncle Reid and Rob Brock, Saya and Pat Craney

  14. To The Family of Betty:
We did not know Betty or Bryan very well. We only knew them through Vic and Cliff Love. The Loves held them in high esteem and treasured their friendship, so they must have been good folks.
Our contact with them was keeping them updated on Vic’s condition in her last days. Those contacts confirmed our opinion of their personalities.
May God bless you with good memories and comfort in the days ahead.
    In Christ
    Joe and Barbara Heath

  15. Patrick, Sharon, Noah, Donna & Kacy, Out thoughts, love, and prayers are with you all. We will always remember the great times we shared with your family. Because of Aunt Betty & Uncle Bryan, I (Donna) was able to see the ocean for the first time in 1973 when Carol and I were invited to go with your family on vacation. Many other cherished memories. We love you, and are praying for you.
Donna, Stanley, Joseph & Anna Maloskey

  16. Patrick, Sharon, and Noah,
    Donna and Kacy,
We were so very sorry to hear of Betty’s passing, especially so soon after Bryan’s. They were both such kind and loving people, and we will always remember them warmly. Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss.
    Nancy(Bryan’s cousin)and Doug Payne

  17. I have nothing more to offer than my memories of Betty’s son, Patrick McMurry. I absolutely adored how he led the choir at Skyland United Methodist Church. Patrick has style!

But sadly (I suppose to both the congregation & to me), Patrick has moved to more rewarding work.

    God Bless!

  18. Patrick,
I am very sorry to hear about your mom. I have such great memories of you all, visiting and staying with you all when my father had surgery. You all were so good to us. I still remember the basketball games in the driveway. May God Bless You and your family during this time. Your parents both were wonderful people!

  19. Wow, I am limited on how much I can write and I have so many good memories of Betty as well as Bryan. Having been their hairstylist for the past 12 years, I have heard many wonderful stories from what the grandkids were doing, to their time given to the Arboretum. Thank you for keeping me informed the way you did. I am glad that I was able to see her and thank her for everything they did for me and how much they meant to me! She will be at peace now, by her soul-mates side! Betty and Bryan, I love you both and will miss you dearly….No more bad hair days! 🙂
