Betty Jane Morrow Sales

Betty Jane Morrow Sales, 83, of Austin, TX and formerly of Fairview, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at her residence. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late John and Zadie Wilson Morrow. She was also preceded in death by a son, Stanley Sales; brothers, John Brodus, Thurl, Burgan, James Howard and Charles as well as sisters Minnie, Annie, Paralee and Elizabeth. Like her parents and many siblings, Betty was a long-time member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. After retiring from Fairview Elementary as a cook, she devoted her time to manicuring her flowers and helping take care of elderly folks in their homes. She is survived by her four sons, Eric Sales and his wife, Carol, of Fairview, Barry Sales of Fletcher, Gregg Sales and his wife, Camille, of Austin, TX, and Jonathan Sales and his wife, Salam, of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Veenie Ledbetter of Columbus NC, Martha Lee of Fairview and Katherine Sales of Fairview; one brother, Troy Morrow of Asheville as well as ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Ronald Roberts and Reverend Steve Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00-3:00 PM on Friday prior to the service.
