Betty Koon

Betty Mullen Koon, 91, died Thursday, February 28, 2019, at her residence at Givens Estates. Mrs. Koon was born in Lincoln County, NC, to the late Thomas and Effie Cornwell Mullen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Nicholas Koon. Betty is survived by her three children, Kay, Karl and Kathy, along with their spouses and six grandchildren. A private graveside service is scheduled at Lewis Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, “building fund”, 51 Wilburn Place, Asheville, NC 28806.
