Beulah L. Taylor, age 90, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Givens Health Center.
Beulah was born in Cosby, TN and was a daughter of Bruce and Lola Mae Moore Layman. She lived most of her life in Arden and was a graduate of Valley Springs High School. Beulah worked 42 years at the National Climatic Data Center. After her retirement from the Federal Government, she worked 16 years as a merchandiser with American Greeting Cards. She was a charter member of Long Shoals Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for many years and was a faithful servant for the Lord. She was also predeceased in death by a sister, Virginia Fisher and a brother, Furman Layman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Taylor, to whom she had been married for 67 years.
Surviving is a son, Robert H. Taylor of Arden, her sister-in-laws, Pam Layman, Mary Nash, Helen Massey, Dorothy Morgan and Donnie Grindstaff. There are several cousins as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services for Beulah will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. The Reverend Roger Rearden will officiate. Interment will be at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
