In loving memory of Beverly Warren Pressley, 76, of Kernersville, who died on Friday, July 16, 2010, at Forsyth Medical Center, in Winston-Salem. Born in Buncombe Co. on August 10, 1933, Mrs. Pressley was a daughter of the late Jay and Faye Howell Warren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elijah B. Pressley, Jr. Mrs. Pressley had been active with the Ladies Auxiliary Post #5352, in Kernersville, where she served as President. She had also served as the District 11 President. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Tom Simmons; son, William B. Pressley; sister, Judith Jackson; brothers, Robert and Phillip Warren; grandchildren, Timothy Johnson, and Heather, Michael, and Megan Simmons; and great-grandchildren, Landon and Caleb. A funeral service for Mrs. Pressley will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with the Revs. Bobby Winebarger and Rick McCarson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Ladies Auxiliary Post #5352, 618 Edgewood Dr., Kernersville, NC 27284 or to the American Cancer Society, 900 South Hawthorne Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting her family.
