Blanche Lance Shuler, 79, of Candler, passed away at her home Saturday, May 5, 2007. A native of Buncombe Co., she was the daughter of the late Doyle and Beulah Shipley Lance. She is also preceded in death by her husband, C. Lewis Shuler who died in 2005; a son, Martin Lewis Shuler; and two brothers, Doyle Lance, Jr. and George Lance. Surviving are her brother, Jack Lance of Candler, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue with the Revs. Roy Houston and Charles Sprinkle officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

  6. Iam so sorry about the loss of Blanche. But we as christians know what a beautiful place she is now in- just imagine how happy she is with Lewis, Martin, her mother- other family members and her friends- Most of all to be with Jesus . No more sickness, heartaches, or fears- just happiness for eternity. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Just remember be ready when God call for you.
