Bobbie Harper Camby

Bobbie Harper Camby, 86, lifelong resident of Fairview, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017, at Stonecreek Health and Rehab Center. Born in Madison County to the late Oather and Mae Huntsinger Hamlin, she worked twenty-five years as QC Inspector for Taylor Instruments. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by sisters, Helen Edmonds, Claudette Hamlin, Bunny Burke, Shirley Nester and brother, Jimmy Hamlin. Survivors include her husband, Theodore W. Camby; daughters, Teresa Harper of Nashville, TN, Vickie Bishop and husband Ed, of Loris, SC, Barbara Harper of Fairview, son, Gary Harper and his partner, Dean Stone of Fairview, step-son, Richard Camby of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren, and special friend Albert Spillars. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road. Rev. Max Gardner and Rev. Charles Rogers will officiate and burial will follow at Emmas Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
