Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Barbara & Family,
We were so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing away. Burnie especially, has fond memories of their coaching basketball at Emma. Bob was indeed a mentor to many of our boys. He will be missed.

  2. I loved this man!! My Dad, who was his brother was super proud of him. I was bless to go watch him in The Sr US Open and he did awesome. His dry sense of humor will forever be remembered. My regret is even though he lived close we did not see each other enough. I have great memories. Love you Uncle Bob!!!!

  3. I worked for Bob Clark for twelve years, and he was our neighbor for 38 years. I knew Bob to be a hard worker, a good boss, a great family man and a knowledgeable basketball coach. Golf was his passion and he was the best. We had not seen him in many years, but thought about him and his family often. I knew him to be a fair man who was kind and compassionate to the people in his life. I have many happy memories and will never forget Bob Clark. He will be greatly missed.

  4. My sincere condolences on the passing of your father. You were truly blessed to have a dad like he was.

  5. Our hearts go out to the Clark family. I always enjoyed golfing with Bob, and marveled at his expertise as he aged. We’ll miss his wry humor, and easy conversations. God bless !!

  6. Dear Barbara and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. He was one of my favorite buddies and I absolutely thought the world of him. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. (Great golfer).

  7. I want to give my deepest sympathies to the passing of Bob. Growing up i loved watching Bob play golf. He was a natural. When I got paired with him.in a tournament I was so intimidated. He was a good man.

  8. Condolences to Barbara and all the family at this sad passing time. Great to know Bob through golf all the many years, and his sons, all excellent players, and playing against him and with him plenty of times. I got to be with him at 6th hole Muni when he made one of his aces. The best memory is playoff hole 1 at Muni when Lee Shepard and I beat Bob in a team tournament as I made a long two putt. Bob had sent his partner home thinking it was a card playoff and this is one way you get to beat a Clark in golf! Bless his new life and golf gang and course, I hope he is playing now!

  9. My condolences to all the Clark clan. Always enjoyed when Bob and some of the Muni bunch would come out to Black Mountain and play. He and Sonny Melton put on some good shows battling each other for the Labor Day Tournament there. Was fortunate to play with Bob a few times over the years with Eddie Harrell and Max Wilson. I can just imagine the heavenly gathering at the 19th hole when Bob and many of my golfing friends that were there to greet him. RIP Bob

  10. Played with Bob several times and he had a pure swing. Always serious with his game but with an ease about his swing, you knew he was also having fun. One time walked with him at BMGC in a playoff in the Labor Day tourney. We chatted the whole way like it was just another day. He said read my putt, I did (like he really needed my help🤦‍♂️😂). Stepped up, bang- dead center. We laughed all the way back to clubhouse. He was such a good man, a privilege to have known him. Thanks for the memories my friend.

  11. I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a parent is the hardest thing I’ve ever lived through. My heart and my prayers go out to you. The memories you have will be your comfort, no words are enough. When you miss him, all you have to do is look in the mirror and you will see him in you, speak and his words will come flowing. Look at each other and see him in your siblings and your children. Mrs. Clark will look at all of you and see him every time. Peace be with you.

  12. So very sorry family to hear of the passing of Bob Clark. He is one of the greatest golfers I have ever seen. I remember playing in the Mountain Amateur Golf Tournament at High Vista back in the 80’s and Mr. Clark had a hole in one on number 2 and then number 8 in the same nine holes. He was in Sports Illustrated for doing that accomplishment. Also, remember him being the runner up in US Seniors Amateur. God bless and comfort you all.

  13. Barbara & family,

I just heard of your loss today& wanted you to know how sorry we are to hear of Bob’s passing. The community will not be the same without him. May you & your family enjoy
the memories of all the good times.
