Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. It’s been almost a year now and it’s still hard to believe that you are gone. On more than one occasion we have started to pick up the phone to call you or almost stopped in to see you. We think about you every day and talk about all of the wonderful memories we made with you. It’s hard to find true friends and you above anyone else were that to us. We can’t wait to see you again one day. We all love and miss you soooooo much.

  2. Melissa, Larry, Nancy, Brandon, Brian and Willa Dean,

We love all of you so much and pray that God will wrap his arms around each of you and help you through this difficult time.

We just keep remembering Brad in Sunday School Class and in Vacation Bible School at church as a little boy. He always had a lot of energy, smiling and having fun.

    Love and Many Prayers,
    Karen and Richard

  3. Nancy, Larry and family

Our prayers and thought are with you and your family. Brad was a wonderful young man. I will always remember him as a little boy when we all went to Snow Hill Church together.

May the Lord wrap you in his arms during this time of great sorrow.

    We love you.

    Norman, Agnes and family

  4. I cannot even begin to express my deepest sympathy. My heart aches at the loss our family has been dealt. All of you have always been and will always be in all of my prayers. My fondest memories of Brad will live on forever with me. I do not even know where to start to help pick up the pieces. Brad was such a wonderful person. Watching him grow from a prank pulling kid into such a responsible adult that he became- I have always looked up to Brad like a brother. I know how greatly he will be missed, and promises we made together will always be kept- to always care for and provide for his family- to give them the best for now and tomorrow. If there is anything that you all need you know I am always a phone call away and will drop anything i am doing to come and help. I will always be here for our family.
With all of my love and prayers for better days ahead. I could not have asked God for a better person to grow up with- to learn from mistakes, to laugh with, and to always look forward to his visits when I came home. Never forget that God will take care of everything and we WILL reunite with him again. Until then, he is in great company and his spirit will always live on with us.
    Love Always and God Bless,
    Kelly

In Sympathy No time on earth is long enough to share with those we love or to prepare our hearts for good-bye.
Those We Love Remain Part of Us ‘Our loved ones leave the world, but never our hearts.’

I am so sorry to hear about Brad. I can’t imagine the pain that you feel and I am here for you. I pray for you, Katelyn, and the rest of the family.
    I love you!

  24. Dear Hoglen Family,
We would like to express our deepest sympathy to all of your family on the loss of your son. Our children went to school with your boys and I had the pleasure of meeting all of them when I worked at Enka High School. Brad always had a smile on his face, and right now he is still smiling and rejoicing in the presence of his Lord.

There are no words that we can say to take away your pain and grief, only time will help with healing. But there is One who can comfort you and understand because His Son died too, and like Jesus, Brad lives again. Try to look to God for strength and know that one day you will all be together again.

Right now your hearts are broken and words cannot ease your sorrow, but please know that you have many friends who are praying for your family. I cannot even try to grasp the devastation of losing a child, and the pain that you are going through, but with all the prayers from family and friends, and with God surrounding you with His love, someday your sorrow will be eased as you look back on the happy memories. The only comforting words I can think of is to say,’You WILL see Brad again.’

Melissa, you are also in our prayers. Look to God for strength and courage to continue on, so that you may tell your daughter what a wonderful daddy she had and how much he loved her.

We and our church family at Glady Baptist Church will keep your family in our prayers. May God bless and keep you all in His tender, loving care.
    John 3:16

There are no words that can express the deepest sorrow of loosing Brad. He was such an amazing person and friend. His never ending smile and laughter will forever be in the hearts and minds of those who loved him so deeply. 48. MY FAMILY, VERONICA, LYNN AND CINDY COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE SAD TO HEAR THE NEWS TAHT BRAD’S SHORT LIFE HAD COME TO AN END. WE GOT TO KNOW BRAD WHEN HE CAME TO WORK FOR US WHEN HE WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL. BRAD HAD MANY GOOD QUALITIES. HE KNEW HOW TO WORK HARD, HE KNEW HOW TO LAUGH HARD, AND HE ENJOYED BOTH.

WE HAD NOT SEEN BRAD MUCH IN THE LAST FEW YEARS, BUT WHEN WE DID IT WAS ALWAYS GREAT TO SEE HIS SMILING FACE. HE WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT LIFE AND HIS FAMILY.

LYNN & I SAW HIM 2 DAYS BEFORE HIS ACCIDENT. I CAN’T FORGET THE SMILE THAT CAME ACROSS HIS FACE WHEN ASKING HIM, HOW IS YOUR WIFE AND CHILD? YOU COULD TELL HOW PROUD HE WAS BY THAT SMILE. BRAD’S NEW ENDEAVOR WAS SO EXCITING FOR HIM. WHEN WE ASKED HIM HOW LATE HE WAS GOING TO WORK, HE REPLIED, I AM GOING TO TRY TO GET OUT AT 5:00 P.M. TO GO HOME AND BE WITH THE WIFE AND DAUGHTER. SOUNDS LIKE A LOVING FATHER AND HUSBAND TO ME. BRAD’S ENTHUSIASM FOR LIFE AND FAMILY WAS QUITE EVIDENT IN THAT SHORT CONVERSATION. OUR PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS WILL BE WITH EACH OF YOU DURING THIS SAD TIME. WE WILL MISS HIM. LEONARD, VERONICA, LYNN & CINDY CROOK

  49. To the Hoglen family,
I was greatly saddened to hear about Brad. I can remember Brad from grade school all the way to marching band in high school. The last time I saw him was at my uncle’s funeral (Bill Bailey) and I was so touch that he actully cared enough to come. He had such a sweet spirit. He will be greatly missed. I pray that our Awesome Father in Heaven gives you strength for the difficulties that you will face in the coming days, months and years. Please know that even in this, your darkest hour, the Father is there to comfort you and help you though. Our prayers and hopes go with you. II Timothy 1:3

  50. Brad was such a character. He was so nice to me and never had a mean word to say to me. He will really be missed. I appreciated that big friendly smile and funny sense of humor he would have around me.

  51. Wow….where to begin. Brad and I grew up together in church and throughout our school years. He will be missed. We have shared many memories from church to bus rides together. Brad was a very spirited person and will be forever missed. Melissa and family, I pray that God continue to give you strength through this loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers daily. May God bless and keep you.

  53. Melissa – My thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray that you and your child will be blessed always and that you will be given the strength to continue without Brad. I know he meant everything to you and I sincerely wish you all the best.

  54. I knew Brad for many years, he was a very good friend to my kids and we included him in our family get togethers. I loved him like a son and I’m very proud to have known him and of the wonderful man he turned out to be. It is evident what a truly remarkable person he is by outpouring of love and sadness. One thing is for sure, we know he is with Jesus right now. You will all stay in my prayers, and I’ll be there for you for anything I can be.

  55. Melissa, and family,
I have known and loved Brad like a son for a good many years. He was good friends with my kids Jessica and Todd and we included him as part of the family, expected him at family functions. I was very proud to know him and of the wonderful man he turned out to be. It is evident what a truly remarkable person he was by the outpouring of love and sadness going through the community. He often dropped by the store to say Hi and lots of times he would bring Katy to see me. He caled me the day after labor day just to check on everybody. I,like, everyone else, am devastated and heartbroken, but can’t even imagine what you are having to face. I hate it for you and wish the world we could change it. I need you to know that I want to be there for you, honestly in any way I can. all our love and prayers will be with you for a long time, and we can all be sure that today our beloved Brad is with Jesus and we will see his smiling face again.
With love to you and Katy and the entire family, Momma Theresa

  56. We will miss you Brad.. thanks for all your help and I know you will be watching over us all as you take your place in heaven above.

  57. Words cannot express the shock and sadness that we felt when we heard of Brad’s passing. Mike said Brad was just up at the warehouse visiting with Brandon and was so excited about his new shop. He said he had the biggest smile on his face but he said that was nothing new because Brad was smiling every time you saw him. He was a good man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers during these difficult days ahead. May the Lord bless you all.

  58. WITH OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO YOU MELISSA AND TO YOUR FAMILY. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU FAITHFULL DURING THESE TRYING TIMES. WE WILL KEEP YOU IN OUR PRAYERS.

    Love you always,
    Kristy
