Brenda (Miller) Peterson, 75, of Fletcher, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at Universal Health Care, Fletcher.
Born in Avery County, she was the wife of the late Sam Daniel Peterson, and the daughter of the late Floyd and Modine (Byrd) Miller. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Rene` Peterson.
Brenda is survived by a brother, Marvin Scott Miller, and two sisters, Patricia Ann Cantrell and Melissa Dawn Thomas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Pastor Marvin Miller officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Ridge Humane Society, 14 Town Place Dr., Ste. #130, Hendersonville, NC 28792.

Brenda was definitely one of the best! When we lived in Fletcher she and my mom became quick friends and drank many cups of coffee together. She was also the cool mom who took a carload of kids to Royal Pines Swimming Pool. She always took good care of us! I know she is reunited with the family she loved so much. We’ll sure miss her here. Prayers to her family.
