Brian Albert Sampson
August 29, 1973 ~ December 21, 1996
Asheville Butterfly TrailBrian was born in Buncombe County and was a 1992 graduate of Erwin High School. He graduated in 1996 from Asheville-Buncombe Technical College with a degree in Law Enforcement Technology. He was a member of Newfound Baptist Church.
His family include his parents, Larry A. and Gerry Jackson Sampson; a brother, Daryl (Cynthia) Sampson of Charlotte; his maternal grandmother, Helen Bridges Jackson (Mrs. Ross Jackson); and his paternal grandparents,the late Lester and Lillian Gibson Sampson.
Funeral services were 11:00 am Monday, December 23, 1996, at Newfound Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles Phillips and Bryan Rhoden officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
His family received friends from 4:30 - 6:30 pm Sunday, December 22, at Groce Funeral Home.

I miss you so much, Brian. I wish I had the chance to say good-bye. But I know that you are with Jesus now and that is where you wanted to be and you knew where you were going. And I know that you are shining down on me every day. I love you, Kelsey
