Bridget Gordon Scott, better known as “Buck”, 60, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021.

Bridget was born in Buncombe County to the late Bobby Crone Scott and Doris Ann Parker Pressley (Bob Pressley). He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Crone Scott and a brother-in-law, Peter F. Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Tammy Robertson Scott; one son, Cody James Scott; two grandchildren, Weston and Ari; one sister, Sharon Smith, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bridget was born and raised in Western North Carolina and loved carp fishing and hunting. In his golden years, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren and his beloved wife, who took such good care of him right to the end. Bridget was a member of Leicester Baptist Church.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Bridget’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 3 at Leicester Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Ellege officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Ed Ellege and Chad Ellege, as well as their families, for being so helpful, caring and supportive.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Bridget’s name to Leicester Baptist Church, 18 Tony Lunsford Drive, Leicester, NC 28748.
