Burnett Lee Brown

Burnett Lee Brown, 88, of 735 Austin Branch Rd., Leicester, died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at his residence. A native of Madison Co., Mr. Brown was a son of the late John L. and Eliza J. Austin Brown. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Pearl Emma Brown, Selma Dorsie Brown, Jess Raymond Brown, Walter George Brown, Elsie Mahalla Brown, Mary Myrtle Brown, Weldon James Brown, and Grady Willard Brown. Mr. Brown was a retired cattle farmer, and was a US Army veteran and POW during WWII. Mr. Brown is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, and by his extended family, Joann and David Schreiber. A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Danny Little officiating. Interment will follow at Little Sandy United Methodist Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
