Burton Cole Reeves

Burton Cole Reeves, 67, of 10651 NC Highway 63, Leicester, died Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at Elderberry Health Care Center. Mr. Reeves was a native of Madison County and was a son of the late Burnette and Noty Woody Reeves. He was also preceded in death by a brother Wayne Reeves and a nephew James Reeves. Surviving are his faithful and loving wife of 46 years, Shirley Jean Brown Reeves; two daughters, Tammy Reeves of Greer, SC and Teresa Reeves Kent and her husband, Jerry, of Marshall; a sister Mary Lois Parham and her husband, Clenon, of Leicester; two brothers H. B. Reeves and his wife, Aileen, and Woody Reeves and his wife, Louise, of Leicester; a grandson Nathanael James Kent; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Little Sandy United Methodist Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday.
