Carol Elaine Todd

It is with great sadness that the family of Carol Elaine Todd of Asheville, NC and Mobile, AL announces her passing on May 20, 2020, at the age of 63.

Carol was born on July 8, 1956, in Mobile, Alabama to Marilyn and Jack O’Connor. She had three brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Ann and her father, John DeBellis O’Connor (“Jack”).
Carol is survived by her two children John Caleb Todd and Emily Todd Walker (Micah), her granddaughter, Evelyn Elaine, her mother, Marilyn, and her four siblings Lacy, Jerry (Veronica), Frank (Anne) and Guy (Katie).

Carol was a teacher in the Mobile school system for over 30 years. She was an avid outdoorswoman who enjoyed boating, hiking and camping. Carol was most of all a life-long learner and giver to others. Her generous spirit and engaging personality were cherished and embraced by everyone who had the opportunity to meet her wherever she ventured.

Carol attended Bishop Toolen and Murphy High schools in Mobile AL. She attended the University of Maryland Munich Campus and the University of South Alabama earning Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.

The celebration of Carol Todd’s life will begin with a Funeral Mass on June 1 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church followed by interment at Pine Crest cemetery in Mobile Alabama.
