Carrie Harris Pressley, 97, after being in declining health for several years, passed into her eternal rest on Friday, September 4, 2009, at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center.

Carrie also enjoyed working with the Hominy Valley Club, where she and other ladies performed many beautification projects in the community.
She was a longtime member of Snow Hill United Methodist Church, and was an active participant of the United Methodist Women and the Ladies Bible Class. She was honored by being selected as Mother of the Year in 1993.
