Funeral services for Mr. Sales will be at 3:00 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home. The Rev. Boyd McClaren will officiate with burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Sales was born in Haywood County and was a son of the late Early Armond and Etca Sue Smith Sales. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Sales. He was a Navy veteran and was retired from Ryder Truck Rental Co.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Butler Sales; four daughters, Linda S. Edwards, Wanda M. Sales, Debbie K. McCarson, and Melissa L. Warren; a son, Jimmy E. Sales; a sister, Marie Conley; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
