Fletcher~ Carroll E. Giles, of 69 Justice Street, died Saturday, January 17, 2004.
A native of Buncombe County, Mr. Giles was son of the late Gomer and Millie Grindstaff Giles. He worked as a truck driver for Strawberry Hill Press. Mr. Giles was a member of the Crusader Bowling League.
Surviving are his wife, Retha Butler Giles; one daughter, Ivy Ducker of the home; two brothers, Robert Giles of Asheville and James Giles of Ypsilanti, Michigan and three grandchildren.
A memorial service and visitation will be held Tuesday from 7-9 pm at the residence.

Read in the paper that Carroll had passed. Very sorry to hear of your loss. We are glad that we were able to make the time he had left more comfortable by building the ramp at your residence. Our prayers are with you and your family.
