Carroll Jessie King

Carroll Jessie King, 63, of 75 Haywood Street, Asheville, died Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at Memorial Mission Hospital. Mr. King was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Hansel and Lottie Ward King. He was retired from construction and attended Sunrise Baptist Church. He is survived by two sisters, Katie Hooper of Weaverville and Frances McElreath of SC; a brother, Ray King of Baltimore, MD, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Higgins officiating. Burial will follow at Paynes Chapel Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. The family requests that contributions for funeral expenses be made to Groce Funeral Home.
