Carthine Foister Moore

Carthine Foister Moore, 76, of 134 Old US 19-23, Candler, died Thursday, April 27, 2000, at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. Mrs. Moore was a native of Haywood County and was a daughter of the late Sam and Jennieve Smith Foister. She was married to Howard Moore who died in 1982, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Troy Foister. She was a member of Maple Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Rhodes and her husband Ted of Candler, a granddaughter, Samantha Rhodes; a sister, Estilee F. Clontz and her husband Earl of Asheville, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Fox and Dr. Joe Yelton officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
