Catherine Roberts “Dot, Dot” Plemmons, 83, of 172 Bradshaw Circle, Candler, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007, at home. With her family and friends at her side, her long battle with cancer ended and she went home to be with her Lord. Dot loved music and was a big fan of Enka High Marching Band. One of her greatest pleasures was watching the band perform. A lifetime member of Pole Creek Baptist Church, she served on many committees and worked with Vacation Bible School. Dot loved her Lord, church, pastors and friends and will be missed by everyone. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Thomas “T.H.” Plemmons, Jr.; daughter, Cathy Duyck Maney and husband Dusty; son, Clay Erskine Plemmons and wife Candy; grandchildren, who were the love of her life, Fred Erskine and Meredith Catherine Duyck, Barry Alexander, Garren Thomas and Carrie Ann Plemmons; sister, Mildred Roberts Cole and husband Morris; brother, Larry Hawkins and wife Meredith; sister-in-law, Cornelia Green Plemmons; many nephews, nieces and cousins. 5. Dear Mr. Plemmons and Family,

Although words seem to say so little,
I hope they help in some small way
to ease the sense of loss
    that you’re experiencing today.

    Hold fast to your memories
to all of the cherished moments
    of the past,
to the blessings and the laughter,
    the joys and the celebrations,
    the sorrow and the tears.

They all add up to a treasure
of fond yesterdays that you shared
    and spent together,
and they keep the one you loved
close to you in spirit and thought.

    The special moments
    and memories of your life
    will never change.
They will always be in your heart
    today and forever more.

Expressing our deepest sympathy to each of you with the loss of Catherine .
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
May God bless you and comfort you during this difficult time.

  6. Precious Family,
Dot was a fighter. So many times it seemed she could not pull through and yet time and again she did. She never gave up. I know that it seems like the cancer won at last–but no–Dot got the victory–she’s cancer-free today! I appreciate the privilege of being her pastor for the last 12 years. I hope she got as much joy out of that as I did. Thanks also for your understanding of my being away from you at this time. That makes you a special family. Since I cannot do what I would like–to wrap my arms around you–Marilyn and I will do what we can and wrap our prayers around you.
    Love in Christ,

  7. We are sorry for your loss. If we can do anything for you, please let us know. Always, Howard & Nola Frisbee, David, Traci, Matt & Morgan, Daryl & Stephanie Frisbee

Please know that our entire family are sharing your loss and keeping you close to our hearts. I can never express my gratitude for your visits with Pop when he was sick. He thoroughly enjoyed walking down memory lane and cataching up with your families lives. Those Sunday evening visits were a highlight for him. Maybe he and Dot are now sharing a never ending chat.
    In sympathy,
    Freda Plemmons-Woody

Dot was a precious lady who was dear to our hearts. Never have I known her not to be there for anyone who needed her. We will certainly miss her, as you shall, but Praise God she no longer suffers. One day in the future we shall join her with our Lord, what a precious thought! May you feel His love each day and know He is there holding you close. We shall hold you close in our prayers.
    Love, Sandi & Chuck
