Celestine Presley Rhodarmer

Celestine Presley Rhodarmer, 89, of Asheville, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Stepp Presley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Rhodarmer, who died in 1978 as well as a son, Ray Presley. Celestine was a past state president of Home Extension Services, active in the VFW auxiliary and the Skyland Fire Department auxiliary. She is survived by two sons, Larry Rhodarmer and his wife, Kathy, of Candler and Charles Rhodarmer and his wife, Debbie, of Hickory; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Presley, of Candler; one sister, Irene Presley, of Asheville; four grandchildren, Jennifer Clark, Steven Rhodarmer, Joe and Richard Presley as well as five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clyde, NC.
