Charles Dwight Frisbee, 71, of Leicester, passed away December 20, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Dwight was the son of the late Hilliard and Selma Frisbee. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joyce Dyanne Frisbee, son, Dwayne Frisbee and wife Teresa, daughter, Denise Shepherd and husband Tommy, and son, Daniel Frisbee; sister, Sandra Reeves, brothers Carroll Frisbee, Roger Frisbee and Donald Frisbee; and two grandchildren: Aundreya Shepherd and Tabitha Frisbee. Dwight was a builder for over 40 years, having his own carpentry business until retirement. He was a member of Caney Fork Baptist Church, and held a radio broadcast ministry for 40 years on WHBK Radio. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church with Reverends Ronnie Gillespie, Paul Sluder, and Joseph Sluder officiating. Interment will follow at Paynes Chapel Church Cemetery with Reverend David Scruggs officiating at the graveside. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.

  5. I am so sorry for your loss. Y’all are in my thoughts and prayers. I was blessed to know Dwight and his family for many years. He was one of a kind. Very soft spoken, kind and loving. He had a servants heart and loved everyone he met! words can not begin to describe how wonderful he and his family are! He and his family guided me through some hard times in my life, prayed for me and never gave up on me even when I did. I will be out of town visiting my in-laws or I would be there to honor such a great man! God Bless each and everyone! Love you all!

  6. I am so thankful for the opportunity God gave me to know such a wonderful man. Dwight was one of the people in my life I will never forget. I have lots of wonderful memories that include him! He never changed in all the years I knew him. He was a gentle, funny, loving man who served the Lord without reservation. I have no doubts today where he is, and I know it’s only a matter of time before I see him again, he just beat me home. I love you all, and you are in my prayers. Again, blessed and thankful for the privilege to know he loved me, prayed for me and was my friend.

  8. so sorry for your loss, i might not have gotten to know him for my whole life but when we reunited after a while he became like a grandpa to me, lol always giving me wintergreen mints lol they were my favorite and he knew it, i didnt even have to ask. i will miss him forever, praying for your family in this hard time

  9. We will miss Dwight greatly. He was a true friend. I’m so glad for the opportunity to work with Dwight and Dewayne on the radio station. We pray that God will comfort the family in this time of loss. We know that Dwight has gained his reward of the Lord that was given unto us all.
