Charles Eccles Arrowood, 87, of Smith Farm Rd., Fairview, died Thursday, June 14, 2012. A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Claude and Edna Gilden Arrowood. Mr. Arrowood was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He worked for 45 years for Biltmore Dairy Farms, and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lois Smith Arrowood; children, Kim Bass and her husband, David, Keith Arrowood, Karey Arrowood, Kirby Arrowood, and his wife, Tammy Arrowood; three grandchildren, J.D. Bass, Sarah Arrowood, and Averi Arrowood; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Todd Royal officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
