Charles William “Bill” Webb, 78, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 24, 2022 with the love of his life of 59 years by his side.

Mr. Webb was born in Asheville to the late Charles L. Webb and Mabel C. Webb. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Stotesbury and Clara Elizabeth Cooper.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Wilson Webb; two children, Dean Webb (Karen Holbrook) and Donna Webb; one granddaughter, Ashley Webb (Aaron); two great grandchildren, Aubrey Jean Webb and Alijah William Webb; brother, Bob Webb (Sharon); and several nieces and nephews.

Bill took pride in everything he did. He was dedicated in all that he achieved. He loved his family with all of his heart and his great-grandchildren were the light of his eye. He worked most of his life in the automotive industry. He loved Nascar, hunting and fishing. He never met a stranger and everyone that met him, loved him.

A funeral service will be held at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Burial will follow at Bethesda United Methodist Church cemetery.

  1. So sorry to hear of Billy’s passing. I remember him with love, especially for the kindness he showed to our mom in the later years of her life. Sorry I can’t be with you in person on Tuesday, but I will be with y’all in my thoughts. Love to you.
