Christopher “Chris” David Penland, 45, went home to the Lord on Friday, August 13, 2021 in his Arden home. He was the son of the late David Hobson Penland and Sandra Kay (Rice) Penland.

He was a beloved father, son, brother and uncle. Chris was a role model to his family and friends, demonstrating selflessness and generosity to all he came in contact with. Chris met many lifelong friends while he was employed at Steelcase, Aprotech, Linamar, and Continental. Everyone that knew him knew his smile and his laugh. He is preceded in death by his father, David Hobson Penland.
