Clara G. Belcher

July 20, 1910 ~ January 7, 1999
Clara G. Belcher, of 26 Homestead Road, Candler, went to
be with Jesus on Thursday, January 7, 1999.
A native of Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late
Martin and Maggie Granger. She was the devoted and loving
wife of Rev. William M. Belcher for 65 years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter,
Carolyn Wright and her husband Ricky of Candler; son, Rev.
Ralph Belcher and his wife Joyce of Hendersonville and three
grandchildren, Chris, Kerry and Jason Belcher.
Services will be held at 2 pm Saturday in Trinity Baptist
Church on Shelburne Road conducted by the Revs. Ralph
Sexton, Jr., Jerry Sizemore, Ricky Bishop and Jerry Young.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park conducted
by the Revs. Steve Smith and Charles Pearce.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and Tommy Allen. David
Ingle and Harold Burns. Honorary pallbearers will be
Preacher friends.
She served the Lord as a faithful pastor's wife for over 50
years. She was a kind and gentle Christian mother and loved
by all who knew and met her.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 pm Friday at
Trinity Baptist Church.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of
arrangements.
