  1. Jane,

So sad to hear of Claude’s passing. Just know that he is in a better place and is no longer in pain. Please let me know if there is anything you need. you are and have always been in my thoughts and prayers.

  2. Martha Jane and Family, We knew Claude had not been well for some time; however, in life we are never ready to lose our loved ones. There are many memories of those years at West Asheville Presbyterian Church before our transfer to Charlotte in 1962. Years later after your moving to Oak Forest I was amused at Claude referring to WA Pres. as the LPW Church. You will know what he meant.
The only comfort at this time has to come from our Faith in the Sovereignty of God and the manifested of caring friends. I just called Mary who is now in a Nursing Home to tell her about Claude and she joins us in our hope that in some small way it does help to know others do care. Joe and Zunita

  3. Pat, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I know this must be a very difficult time for your family. Please know that I am here for you if there is anything that you feel that I can do for you, do not hesitate.

  5. Janie, Beverly & Patricia,

I was sorry to learn of Claude’s passing. Millie called last night. I know that incapacity has been a difficult adjustment for Claude. Janie’s assistance allowed Claude to stay at home where he would have wanted to be.

As you know, I have not been able to visit as often this year due to personal health problems. I always enjoyed my visits and I always learned something from Claude when I visited. I cannot make it to the service. We have flight reservations to West Palm that day to visit our daughter and grandson for Christmas.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss. Remember that God will bless and keep you and He will make His face shine upon you.

    Holt, Jr.

  7. I’m sorry for your loss. When I worked with Claude in the Chem Lab at Enka in 1962-63, he was such a great teacher, patient and understanding with a young woman just entering the work force. Sorry to hear that he had been ill. He was a wonderful person.
