Asheville Butterfly TrailA native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late James and Edith Lanning Martin. She was the wife of Kenneth Sherlin Jr.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son -in-law, Kay and Jerry Robbins of Calhoun, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Tonia Sherlin III, Donnie and Tina Sherlin, Ronnie and Debbie Sherlin, Ray and Tammy Sherlin and Charles Sherlin all of Asheville; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Buster Watts of Candler; fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Rev. Len Morgan will officiate with burial following in Pisgah View Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence.
