Clifford S. Heafner

Asheville – Clifford Stanley Heafner, 82, of Asheville, died Sunday, July 22, 2007. A native of Charlotte, he was the son of the late Carl W. and Anne Holsomback Heafner. Mr. Heafner was a Navy veteran of W.W. II and member of the V.F.W. He was a former aircraft mechanic at the Charleston Air Force Base and more recently an employee of the Asheville Municipal Golf Course. He is survived by one son, Joe Hefner and his wife, Patty, of Mills River and two grandsons, C.J. and Patrick Heafner. No services are planned at this time and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
