Curly "Cud" Jones

Curly “Cud” Jones, 83, of Asheville, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Mission Hospital. He was born in Jackson County, NC, to the late Early and Cora (Wykle) Jones. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas “Junior” Jones, and a sister, Lois Ann Davis. Curly retired after 40 years of service from Beacon Manufacturing in Swannanoa. He had a way with animals and had them eating right out of his hand. Curly is survived by a special brother-like nephew, Dennis Davis (Ronda); a sister, Edna Davis; a brother, J.B. Jones; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Taco. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road with the Rev. Tommy Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow in Sky View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
