  2. To Sharon and Glen, so very sorry. Have not seen you in many years, but remember our younger days. I know you’re comforted knowing your Mom was waiting to embrace Cynthia. Prayers for you and her extended family.

  3. My sweet childhood friend. So sorry that we have been out of touch since we both retired. Lenny, Albert, Sharon, Glenn, and family, we were unaware that Cynthia was ill, and were not aware until today of her passing. Our love and sympathy goes out to each of you, along with our prayers. She was a bundle of pure energy and light, and will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace sweet friend.

    • Claudette, thank you so much for your thoughts. Cynthia often told me about the time you would see each other while you both were working in Asheville. You were always a very special friend to her and our family. I think you and Linda both are the lucky one’s to still be living in Pensacola. I know it has changed some but what great memories we all have, growing up there together. Many times when I would come home for a visit, Cynthia and I would ride to Pensacola and remember times of growing up on the old road. We never knew just how lucky were all were. My best to your family.
      Glenn

  4. Dear family, My thoughts and prayers and the prayers of our church family, at Bolens Creek Baptist, are with you all. Hugs and continued prayers.
    Sincerely, Belinda

  5. Glenn, sorry to hear this news. Our families were so intertwined during our youth and we share so many memories from those times, especially the days when your Mom was our teacher. What a wonderful community Pensacola was for growing up. I fondly remember those days. Prayers with you and all of your family.
    Your old friend, Doyle

  6. Since I heard the news, I can’t stop thinking about growing up next door to Cynthia, Glenn and Sharon. We sure had fun playing together and I treasure the memories of growing up in Pensacola. I will always remember Cynthia’s smile. Please know my mother Arline sends her thoughts along to your family too.
My thoughts are with you, Carla

    • Carla, Thank you and your Mom so much for your thoughts. I have thought many times about the time our family’s spent growing up together. Cynthia kept that smile until the very end. She was truly one of a kind. She always enjoyed seeing everyone at the Coming Home events. Pensacola will always be home to many of us. Hope all of your family are well.
      Your next door neighbor, Glenn

  7. Doyle, thank you so much for your post. Yes we were truly lucky to have grown up in such a great place. Cynthia and I had a conversation about that very thing just before she found out she was ill. I fondly remember playing football together for all those years and our one on one’s in Charlotte. Hope you and your family are well.
    Your old friend forever, Glenn
