Dale Franklin Eplee

Dale Franklin Eplee, 73, of 46 Piney Mountain Rd., Candler, died Monday, October 23, 2000 in a Asheville Hospital following a long illness. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Charles Vance and Elleree Smith Eplee. He was also preceded in death by a sister Frances Thompson and a brother, Clarence Eplee. He was a US Navy Veteran of WW II and a retired employee of Perry Alexander of Asheville. Mr. Eplee is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred Brock Eplee; daughters, Sharon J. Wolfrey of Asheville, Lynn Dale Eplee of German Town, Maryland, Patricia Pressley of Candler; sons Ronnie Eplee and Danny Eplee both of Candler; sisters Mary Lee Allen of Candler, Carolyn Jones of Indiana; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Reverend H.D. Houck officiating.
